What does the caged tiger dream of? What does the caged bird? Are there stripes of a different colour, do those feathers still remember how to fly? Or do heavens rage, the angels all pinioned? Does the jungle prowl hungry through the bone-cavity labyrinth? Through the hallowed ground, for prey, for prayers? There's a truth here, coming to call, singing down your veins, howling through the skull sutures, breaking through the barricade.
It's just like Disney always told us: a dream is a wish your heart makes.
It beats, it races, it pounds your chest. No matter how many ventricles, valves, and safety-switches you add, it's not a precision part running your skeletal system, your respiratory factory. The ribs cage for a reason, to keep that traitor heart beating time against the ivory bars. morse code, that each breath isn't sounding the prison-break alarm. Say that when you twitch rapid-eye movements, there's no S.O.S. But, I'll try sharing some anyway, and hopefully it's not too terrible~ Or at least terrible in a negative way, hahah.
